What’s a Toddy?

I remember having my first hot toddy on one cold December night in Nevada City, California, amongst a throng of family and friends. My sister Mauriepat, the eldest of 11 siblings, arrived fresh off the heels of her victory in the county Gin Fizz contest. Unwilling to rest on new laurels, she brought her signature batch of rum batter and served us Hot Buttered Rum. “Liquid slice of Heaven!” and “Mapa brought her A-game!” were chanted that night as this sweet, creamy, cinnamon-flavored drink filled our cups with cheer!
I carried that love with me to Texas making rum batter for friends over the holidays, along with my own tribute to the original toddy of lemon, honey and whiskey (shout out to my Cayenne Zest!) and beginning my years-long obsession with creating a variety of unique and delicious premium quality drink mixes that you can easily make for yourselves! Here’s to making your own magical memories on a chilly night, surrounded by loved ones, and wrapped in a delicious cup of warmth that all these flavors bring!

In 10 oz. mug, add 2 level scoops of House McGrath Hot Toddy Mix

Add 6 oz of boiling water. For best results, add a small amount of boiling water to mix and work into a paste. Then add remaining water and stir until dissolved.
